Edelman Digital 101 at JMU

PR students at JMU had a unique opportunity to attend Edelman Digital 101 this past weekend. Edelman professionals facilitated a two-day conference about new media and how to integrate it into client campaigns. Attendees included PR students and faculty, media arts & design students and journalism students. The event was sponsored by Edelman and JMU’s chapter of PRSSA.

We learned about the importance of new media including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The Edelman professionals split us into seven groups and each group was given a mock client. They walked us through the online client research process and helped us decide how to achieve our clients’ goals.
